Announcement: Saran™ Vapor Retarder is
now Saranex® Vapor Retarder
In 2016 The Dow Chemical Company
sold its global specialty films business to Transilwrap Company, now called
Transcendia. This included the Saran Vapor Retarder product line, which is
manufactured exclusively for ITW Insulation Systems.
Due to the divestiture of the films business from
Dow, ITW Insulation Systems and our supplier Transcendia will no longer use the
“Saran” brand name. All “Saran” vapor retarder products will be rebranded under
the name “Saranex”. ITW Insulation Systems will begin shipping vapor retarder
products labeled with the new Saranex brand over the next few months. As we transition
from our current Saran branded inventory to the new Saranex branded inventory,
please be aware you may receive mixed shipments containing labels with both
brand names.
There are no changes to the chemical composition,
physical properties, or manufacturing of the product; the only change is to the
brand name. ITW Insulation Systems will continue to provide the same high
quality vapor retarder products that our customers know and trust.

ITW Insulation Systems Announces New Addition to Metal Jacketing Product Line
ITW Insulation Systems recently introduced
